If you are anything like me, your main goal while traveling is to eat everything you see. This leads to a very satisfying and usually eye-opening experience because I stay sated and also learn about new things I might have never tried back home.

However, since we’d rather be experiencing the travel destination in person than doing reps at the local gym, many of us travelers pack on a few kilos during our trip. That’s where Cycle Train comes in super handy. They are a bicycle rental service that not only offers electric bicycle rental but also a special train on which you can travel longer distances while still keeping your bicycle with you, typically a big faux pas in Japan unless you remove your tires and place your bike in a bag.

Each bicycle is equipped with an electric motor that allows for easy transportation up and down steep hills and inclines all throughout Ito. Whether it be the top of Omuro Mountain, or the Jogasaki coastline, you can get there within a matter of minutes even if you don’t have those Tour de France thighs.

They have two locations for pick-up and drop-off and are open between 9:00 and 4:30. Rentals are very affordable with 2-hour packages starting at 1,100yen and 2-day packages for only double that price.
