When it comes to diving, Ito has some of the most beautiful sights around. Thanks to the many varieties of fish that call Futo Diving Area home, it’s perfect for spotting your favorite types and enjoying some underwater photography.

Futo also happens to be easily accessible from three separate stations (Futo Station, Jogasaki-kaigan Station and Izu Kogen Station). Not only is it easy to get to, but the local dive shops also offer free shuttle services to/from the stations to make it even easier for you to get in the water as soon as possible.

Something super special about this area is the Onsen Maru, a fishing boat that has been converted into an open-air hot spring overlooking the water. You can enjoy the natural hot spring water flowing through the boat while you’re still in your wet suit!
